The golf course continues to hold up from a busy summer. Obvious wear areas have been staked & signage around weak green areas will continue.
Green Speeds & Conditioning
As we all know, weather plays a key role in green speeds as it equates to course health & conditioning under stressful times.
Our green speeds continue to stay on track averaging 10.5 ft with good weather conditions in the past few weeks. This week’s weather is expected to be hot & humid. We will certainly be monitoring greens closely at the beginning of this week to ensure good health & speeds for the Labour Day weekend.
Considering this week’s high heat forecast, Monday, Tuesday & Thursday will be rest days with no rolling. Greens will roll slower on these days. Topdressing greens this week will be postponed to the following week when there is cooler weather.
We will be rolling greens daily starting Friday & through the long weekend. Green speeds are predicted to be 10.5 to 11 ft. - weather permitting.
We hope everyone enjoys the final weeks of the summer. It has been a busy year with great golf!!
