The Irrigation Process
As our irrigation system installation wraps up, here’s how the system went in the ground.
The irrigation installation process has 3 stages…
- Stage 1. Installing pipe & sprinklers which requires a hole 2 to 4 feet in depth.
- Stage 2. Replace/compact soil with sod preparation. Due to the urgency of re-opening holes, the crew was asked to lay sod back down, preventing it from drying out. Allow the area to settle/compact with irrigation before moving to stage 3.
- Stage 3 is final grading/sodding on a now settled areas. Re-prep the sod for final laying.
If you notice, most of this work is completed on the earlier holes (front 9) with little damage remaining.
The irrigation company will return in the fall to complete / fine tune damaged areas, plus remove old heads. The reason this is not being completed now… membership play plus sod required to maintain through the summer heat.
