The Sand-Pro & Bunker Maintenance
With the introduction of the Sand-pro to our bunkers, we have received positive comments about their playability. Smooth and firm! The bunker sides continue to stay compacted with less raking which allows the ball to release and fall to the bunker floor. At times the sides may look unkempt but their firm un-raked sides have improved playability with less fried egg lies.
The one downside of the sand-pro is its ability getting in & out of steep sloped bunkers. The entery points have been determined for easiest access and to limit damage to bunker edges. Through daily use, we are seeing areas of wear at these entry points. Members have also commented of the damage it as created. This fall we plan to renovate these areas, for better access.
This Sand-pro has been a great asset to our daily maintenance. A true game changer on improving the quality of these hazards!!
