GOLF SISTERS BLOG #3 – AUGUST 2019

WOW…..and just like that…..it’s August! Can you believe we only have about six weeks until Closing Day? Oh my…..let’s not think about that quite yet!

July was filled with great weather, and even better golf! We enjoyed yet another very successful buffet luncheon on our beautiful patio for our Four Ball Better Ball event sponsored by Donna Tufford. The Moosehead rep was very well received handing out samples of some of their brews that are available here at Burlington. We loved the freebie sunglasses too!

…..AND THE WINNERS ARE…..

Senior Club Championship:

Overall Senior Club Champion: Diane Regan

Fab 50’s: Kathy Moore

Sassy 60’s: Catherine McParland (Low Gross) and Francine Davis (Low Net)

Sensational 70’s: Cheryl Craig

...

And then, there was the Mystery Tour! After much anticipation, 30 BGCC Ladies finally ended up at St. George’s Golf & Country Club (home of the 2020 Canadian Open). Wow, what a view and what a privilege to play at such a beautiful course. On this great day organized by our President, Danielle Ross and our Club Pro, Trevor Fackrell, the overall winners were the team of Cheryl Hoshowsky, Susan Semkowski and Danielle Ross! I hope the girls from St. George’s had at least half the amount of fun that we did!

Finishing off the month of July was our annual Pro/President tournament. Well, not one team could beat our Pro/President combination of Trevor and Danielle with a low net score of 64! The two of you must have been practicing together for weeks – just kidding! You both certainly brought your “A” games with you that day! Congratulations!
