Update JUNE 5, 2020

Your Ladies Executive Committee sent a compelling letter to the Board of Directors to reinstate our block on Tuesday mornings. Regrettably, the request was denied. Although extremely disappointed, we must respect the decision of the Board of Directors. Under the current framework and for the month of June, ladies and men have the opportunity to play all day Tuesdays and all-day Wednesdays with no restrictions.

The Board, however, did approve a draw for ladies on Tuesdays. This will allow us the opportunity to play and meet other lady members, especially our new members. Beginning with the game on June 16th, if you want to be paired with other lady golfers in a random draw, you must:

  1. Send an email to Ryan Beaudoin (ryan.beaudoin@burlingtongolfclub.com), with a copy to Janet Hutter (janethutter1@gmail.com) by Friday at noon; (For the Tuesday, June 16th game, you will need to send the e-mail by noon on Friday, June 12th).
  2. Indicate in the e-mail your preferred tee time (before 10:00 a.m. or after 10:00 a.m.).
  3. Do not add your name to a tee time ballot – the pro shop will do it for us on Friday afternoon/evening.
  4. It’s important to note that our names will be added to all other ballots and we might not be able to get our desired tee time. Your tee time could range from early morning to late afternoon.

The Ladies Executive has made the decision to cancel Team Play this season. We are still hopeful to maintain some of our more prominent tournaments in July and August such as the Robert Johnston (96th year), the Memorial (27th year), and the Pro-President. The Board of Directors will be reviewing the golf program for the balance of the year at its next meeting. We hope to have more concrete information for you by the end of June. You will need to be patient as we try to accommodate draws on Tuesdays. This is new to us and it might take a few weeks to iron out issues. Thank you for your understanding and hope to see you on the course.

Danielle Ross
President, Ladies Section
