Team Play & Closing Party Information

Next Tuesday September 19th, ladies who are playing in the Team Play league are encouraged to sign up with members of their team.  You can do this by going onto the golf calendar and putting in a time through the lottery system (one member of your group can sign you up).

Come out that night and wear your team colours for the Team Play Closing Party!!  This will be held in the Curling Lounge beginning at 7pm.  A cold buffet will be served.  Please email your Team Captain to confirm your attendance.  A reminder to bring cash for the 50/50 draw which goes to Derek in appreciation of his efforts all season.

Tuesday, September 19th New Event

We have heard through a few of our members that there is interest for one more game/event next Tuesday September 19th…Yay!!  We are pleased to offer a fun event called “Evens & Odds”.  The idea is that only the even numbered holes will count on the front nine and the odd numbered holes will count on the back nine (total of 9 holes).  There will be a prize for the lowest score and the “most honest” score.  You can sign up for this event as a single, twosome, threesome or foursome through the online lottery system.  If you have already signed up, you can leave it as is or re-sign up as a single and the Pro Shop will make up your group.  Next Tuesday, please advise the Starter that you wish to play in the “Evens & Odds” event and hand your scorecard into the Pro Shop after completion of your round.

Note:  Ladies who are already signed up and playing in the Team Play league can also be a part of this event if they choose to play 18 holes.

Interchange with Mississaugua

On Thursday September 21st, we have an interchange with Mississaugua Golf & Country Club.  12 ladies will be coming to our Club to play.  It is nice if all the ladies who come have a “host player” from our Club.  Please consider signing up for this and if you do, you have first right of refusal to play at Mississaugua next year!  This event includes a light breakfast and lunch.

Business Women

The Business Women have their Closing Tournament on Tuesday September 23rd and their Annual Chili Bowl on Saturday October 21st.   Email Lynn Graham at if you’d like to sign up.

Ladies Closing Day

It’s hard to believe that our golf season is almost over and Ladies Closing Day will be held on Tuesday September 26th.  The day begins at 11:00am with pari-mutuel betting in the Chalet followed by a 12:30 shotgun (sign up as a single, twosome, threesome or foursome).  Cocktails will be at 5:30 and a buffet dinner will begin at 6:30pm.  Our Annual Meeting will follow the dinner (I promise to keep it short and sweet!)  We hope to see as many of you as possible there!

The Ladies Executive would like to thank you for supporting our Tuesday events this season!

Warmest regards,

Karen Dyson
