The Heat is On!
June weather has arrived with high temperatures & little rain. The course is now depending on our irrigation system to keep it green & playable. You will see throughout the day hand & roller base watering. Roller bases are watering areas still in play that are not fully irrigated by our automatic system. Greens are closely monitored throughout the day and hand syringed, when necessary.
Keep in mind, with high temperatures and drought come stress. Prolonged high temperatures will have us cutting back on maintenance procedures to relieve mechanical stress, i.e. double cutting & rolling greens.
