With a record Men’s Vice Captain’s (Opening) Day of 250 people behind us, I wanted to remind everyone of a few coming events.
The Two Man Better Ball on Saturday May 27th is available for sign up. Please sign up as a twosome or a foursome by registering for the event by clicking on the tab on Saturday May 27th of the Club Calendar. Please do not put in a lottery request on this day, as tee times will be provided for you by the Professional Staff. Please indicate in the comment section who are partners and what your time preference is.
On June 17th we will be holding the John Davis, a wonderful event in honour of Burlington’s longest tenured Golf Professional. This will be a 9:00am Shotgun with pari-mutuels beginning at 7:30am in the Chalet. This tournament allows us to bring together the men’s membership for a great format, along with the opportunity to golf with other members you don’t always have the pleasure of playing with. Sign up for this event begins this coming Saturday the 20th. This event is available to A members and intermediates.
The following format applies.
1 Net Best Ball on the par 3’s.
2 on the par 4’s.
3 on the par 5’s,
90% Handicap to apply.

John Davis was one of BGCC's renowned Head Professionals, serving here from 1960 to 1992. He passed away on January 31st, 2011. John held this position at the club for an amazing 33 years. John was well regarded in the golf community and enjoyed an excellent reputation among his peers.
Sign up in twosomes or singles and players will be drawn to complete the 4 man teams, Event charge is $50 + HST. Includes Lunch, Drink Tickets, Prizes and Gratuities. A great value and a wonderful day!!
Also a reminder that Men’s Member/ Guest (August 16th on the club calendar) sign up begins this coming Wednesday the 17th at 9:00 am.

Men's Golf Captain, Chris Davis is a 6th generation Burlington resident. He has been a member since 2004 and has participated on the Captain's Committee since 2011. His grandfather was also a member back in the early days of the Club. This past year, he and his wife also joined curling at the Club. The Davis' also enjoy membership at the Burlington Sailing and Boating Club as well as the Holimont Ski Club in Ellicottville N.Y.
