I don’t fear death, but I sure don’t like those three-footers for par.”

Happy Birthday Canada! Looking pretty good for 150!
Well….the nicer weather may still not have arrived but we are now in the full swing of things nice weather or not. What’s that old saying…..If you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em?
A few thoughts and reminders:
1- President and Vice President Tournament (July 4th & 11th): This is a 2 round tournament played over 2 weeks. There are 2 divisions: 0-25 handicap & 26+ handicap. Make sure you sign up for both weeks!
2- 4 Ball Better Ball (July 18th): Our next shotgun tournament followed by lunch. All sign-up information including the menu can be found on the GG Golf calendar.
3- The Chapman is back!! (July 25th): Back by popular demand the Chapman returns! No team play that day.
4- Hamilton Interchange (BGCC @ HGCC on July 27th): Sign up for this popular interchange before it’s too late!!
5- Match Play: Just a friendly reminder that all match play games must be scored and entered into the computer by the deadline for that specific round. Any match that is still blank by the deadline will be decided by a coin flip.
6- Launch Monitors: The Proshop has purchased a few of these monitors for the members to use in the practice area. They are easy to operate once you have been shown how and they can be very helpful to determine ball direction and distance in our shorter hitting net.
7- “T” Marks the spot: Please replace the rakes on the designated “T” that are spray-painted around the traps. The area where you find these markings is also where you should both enter and exit the traps. Also, please remember that no carts are allowed between the green and the traps to protect our collars.
May all your drives be long and putts be straight,
Cyndie Horner =)
