The Burlington Golf & Country Club prioritizes the health and safety of our members, guests and staff. The Public Health Agency of Canada officials are encouraging the public to take proactive steps to prevent COVID-19 from spreading. As news continues to circulate about the Cornoavirus (COVID-19) we want to assure you that we are paying close attention to any updates from the CDC and World Health Organization and we are monitoring the climate within our local communities.
From March 14 through to April 6, 2020 Burlington Golf & Country Club will close the clubhouse, curling and golf shop operations as part of our Social Distancing Measurers to combat the spread of COVID-19. Please note that curling operations will remain closed for the balance of the current season. We will continue to assess the situation on a daily basis and communicate with members regularly as more information becomes available.
Staff will be on property Monday to Friday 8:30 am to 4 pm to handle phone calls and email inquiries. Members are encouraged to make payment via online resources, PAP or mail in their cheques to limit traffic in and out of the offices. We have instituted a policy for staff to stay home if they are exhibiting symptoms of the illness, and are encouraging staff to work from home when/where possible.
Members who have items in their lockers or stored at the back shop are requested to call in advance to make arrangements to collect items that cannot wait to be collected after April 6th.
The Club - like many institutions - will be closely monitoring and adhering to the advice of public health agencies.
We appreciate everyone’s understanding and support as we all move through this experience together. Please feel free to contact us at the office via phone or email with any questions you may have.
